The last week in beauty desk drops brought some hero serums, game-changing hair products and a relaxing mist to keep desk-side.

Kat Von D Cake Eyeliner Pencil, €21 at Debenhams

If you’re amongst the converted who don’t wear anything but Kat Von D’s cult liquid Tattoo Liner, she’s brought that same unmovable power to her new Cake Eyeliner Pencil, available in true black, whiter than white and dark brown. Creamy, pigment-rich, completely budge-proof and vegan.

Max Factor Radiant Lift Foundation, €19.99

Max Factor’s new foundation covers all the bases; lasts all day, a medium but buildable coverage and glowy natural finish. It goes the extra mile for feeling weightless and for it’s blending power, plus the dewy radiance it gives to the skin.

bareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Moisturiser, €45 available at Brown Thomas

This lightweight moisturiser is the newest member of the bareMinerals SkinLongevity range designed to protect your skin and keep it at it’s healthiest. With botanical extracts and minerals, it feels hydrating, brightens the skin and with added mineral-based SPF 30, there’s no excuse not to wear SPF every day because you don’t like the texture. This is skin health plus UVA/UVB sun protection all rolled into one.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O, €12.29, available at Boots

Bioderma are without question the leaders in micellar water. They were the first to bring it to market and their formulas are years ahead of competitor brands. Make-up removal is thorough, the skin feels hydrated and smooth after use but most importantly, the skin, no matter how sensitive, is completely protected when using it. There are four formulas that cater to every skin type – the one you already know and love, the world’s first ever micellar water, Sensibio H2O Micellar Solution, which removes 99% of make-up and has the same pH as the skin. There’s also Hydrabio H2O Micellar Solution, formulated with apple seed extract for dehydrated, sensitive skin. The Sébium H2O Micellar Solution is the first micellar water for oily and acne prone skin, which regulates sebum quality, and the ABCDerm range is suitable for babies. If you’re in the market for a micellar, don’t look further than Bioderma.

Clarins Extra-Firming Phyto-Serum, €82, available at clarins.ie

Another win for Clarins after the enormous success of their millenial focused and gorgeous MyClarins skincare range. This new Extra-Firming Phyto-Serum deserves just as much love. With blue agave and quinoa plant sugars, the serum gives a noticeable lift to over 40’s skin, with skin feeling firmer and fine lines reduced.

L’Oreal Tecni Art Ring Light Shine Top Coat, €18.72 at FeelUnique

This finely dispered shine spray mists evenly through the hair, doesn’t weigh it down and can be used on dry hair too, but most importantly the glossy shine it leaves on the hair has to be seen to be believed, hence the name, ‘Ring Light Shine.’
