This year, Olivia and her sister-in-law and co-owner Ciara are celebrating 10 years in business. Here, Olivia tells us how to ensure we make the most of eyelash extensions.

What do we absolutely need to do in order to take care of lash extensions?

Ensure they are kept dry for 24 hours after you have them applied, this allows the glue to set. Don’t pick or pull at the lashes, brush them daily and ensure you don’t use anything oil based around the eye area.

Is there anything that damages them?

If you sleep predominately on one side you may lose more lashes on that side. Don’t pick or pull at the lashes and don’t apply mascara to them. Use a lash cleanser on them to clean them and remove eye make-up, we love the London Lash ones.

How often should you brush them?

I would recommend brushing them every day, this helps remove any loose ones as well as keeping them fabulous.

What kind of eye make-up remover can you use?

Just ensure it’s oil-free. We love the Moxi Loves Eye Catcher Cleansing and Correcting Buds, €4.95, to remove eyeliner whilst avoiding the lashes.

Is it very bad to get eyelash extensions wet?

Once they are set, 24hours after having them applied, it is totally fine to get them wet. I would recommend to dry and brush them with a low setting on your hairdryer every couple of days.
