Kim Kardashian is fangirling over Nicola Coughlan and we’re here for it

One is from a little town in the west of Ireland, the other from LA. Who am I referring to? Only our very own Nicola Coughlan and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian, of course. Treating the internet to a very public display of affection, the duo bonded over their mutual love for one another and we’re very here for the blossoming friendship. 

Making no secret of the fact that she’s a huge fan of Bridgerton (in which Nicola plays Penelope Featherington), Kim has been detailing her watching of the show over on Instagram – influencing both her sister Kendall and long-time pal Stephanie Shepherd to follow her down the rabbit hole and binge the series too. 

Always very vocal about her own grá for Kim K and her famous family, Nicola was thrilled to hear that they’re fans of the show. Yesterday taking to social media to share a little-known piece of Bridgerton trivia with the show’s biggest fan, she Tweeted to say, “as the world’s number one @bridgerton Stan does @KimKardashian know that the Kardashians were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtons and we talked about them all the time during our fittings? Because I feel like she should know this”. 

And know this she now does.

Responding to Nicola’s original Tweet, Kim was clearly very flattered by such a confession, writing that she was “freaking out” at the news – even pleading with the Derry Girls star to let her come to one of the costume fittings for the show.

“WHAT?!?! I am freaking out!!!!!! This tweet was sent to me on my @bridgerton group chat! Can I please come to a fitting?!?! It would make my whole life!!!!!! I love you Lady W!!!”

Obviously saying that they’d be more than happy to welcome Ms Kardashian to the set, it seems that there really is only three degrees of separation between the two with Nicola revealing in a follow-up Tweet that her corset was made by the same designer behind Kim’s iconic Met Gala look.

“Omg yesss of course we would love to have you! Also did you know that Mr Pearl made your corset for the Met Gala and the very next one he made was mine for Bridgerton? You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world for longer than you know!

A very full-circle moment for Ms Coughlan, no doubt.
