Feeling pecking? Here are some tasty food trucks to visit across Ireland.

Let’s face it: no one wants to spend the weekend cooking dinner.

Thankfully, there’s an abundance of delicious food trucks peppered across the length and breadth of Ireland for you to swing by, pick up some grub, and tuck into it right then and there.

Here are some of our very favourite options to choose from around the country, so whether you’re setting off on a road trip, heading to the pub, or coming home from the beach, you can enjoy a bite to eat en route.

Prátaí

O’Connell’s Bar, Co. Galway

If you find yourself in Galway city enjoying the sunshine, a trip to O’Connell’s beer garden is an absolute essential. A new addition alongside The Dough Bros’ pizza stand, Prátaí specialise in proper locally-sourced Irish chips. Served with your choice of homemade sauce, options include market curry mayo, bad boy burger sauce, and Harry’s Nut Butter satay, among others.

Pizza Truck

Harold’s Cross, Co. Dublin

Located at 348 Harold’s Cross, this food truck specialises in wood fired pizzas that are absolutely sensational. From the firecracker and butcher’s block to the veggie special and classic margarita, they’ll definitely have something to whet your appetite. There’s even loaded fries, and homemade desserts to bring home with you.

Taco Rebel

Harley’s StrEAT, Co. Cork

Three simple words, say them and I’m yours: Birria Beer Tacos. As the smell wafts up Harley’s Street, you won’t be able to avoid swinging by Taco Rebel for a bite to eat. Located in the Victorian Quarter, their Birria taco is made up of braised beef, mozzarella, spring onion and a spicy broth dip that is just to die for.

Julia’s Lobster Truck

Burren, Co. Clare

Touring around West Clare in her turquoise food truck, Julia Hemingway has made quite the splash on the Irish foodie scene. Selling grilled lobster and beef dripping chips that would bring a tear to your eye, her seafood offering is always the freshest. Shellfish, oysters, chowder, you name it, she’s got it. Keep an eye on her socials to check out where she’s parking up this weekend.

Bites by Kwanghi

Locations at Capital Dock Building, Lower Camden Street, and Malahide Marina. Co Dublin

Bao, dumplings, noodles and Asian style tacos are Bites By Kwanghi’s crème de la crème, and these trucks take street food to a whole other level. There’s spice bag chicken bao buns, raw salmon poke bowls, veggie dumplings and an array of other equally appealing options that will make your tastebuds sing.
