Bash editor Kate’s chic Dublin 3 home…

With her own unique sense of style and individual taste, newlywed BASH editor Kate O’Dowd planned her house the way she did her wedding: perfectly, beautifully and, apparently, stress-free. She admits to living much of her life on Pinterest, which helped her with her house d?cor inspiration and jobs, just as it helped her plan out the wedding event.

Kate’s little trio family, which includes Teddy, an adorable one-and-a-half-year-old, live in a redbrick terraced house in Fairview, Dublin 3, which dates to around 1890. ?I love living in such an old house. The feeling that families before us have worn the wooden stairs so smooth is very comforting. There are very good vibes in this house,? Kate says.

Her interiors style is minimalist but shot with bolts of colour. Masculine textures like rough wood and rich woven fabrics, as well as nostalgia-inducing inherited or collected trinkets complete her distinctive interiors aesthetic, which centres around fine lattice lines, a carefully-curated mixed collection of retro and contemporary homewares, and mid-century design furniture.
