The Other Woman

We’ve been loving Cameron Diaz more than usual lately. Her press tour for ‘The Boby Book’, which is full of life-changing lessons she wants to share about bowel movements and botox, has led to her praising pubic hair as ‘enticing’ and generating countless unapologetic media appearances from the Hollywood star. Also we need a good chick-flick after all the Marvel story-arcs and sequel baiting and this tale of various wronged and blonde women uniting together to bring down their lover/husband/boyfriend (played by Game of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) might do the the brain numbing trick. Also, you might want to check out the amazing competition we’re running in conjunction with the movie’s release. Helloe trip to New York and all-expenses-paid…

Tracks

We watch Adam Driver’s career like curious hawks in the office. What is his deal? Do we fancy him because of or in spite of his turn as Adam in Girls? Are the Star Wars VII villain rumours true? Before he gets consumed by global stardom you might want to check him out in Tracks, an upcoming indie starring Mia Wasikowska as Robyn Davidson, a young woman who decided to embark on a 2,000-mile trek across the West Australia desert with four camels and a dog in tow in the 1970s. Her journey became immortalized in her subsequent memoir and in a series of photographs published in?National Geographic. Driver is?Rick Smolan, the photographer with whom she enjoys a romantic relationship during the adventure. Eat, Pray, Love but with more sand.

Jupiter Ascending

Channing Tatum is a werewolf bounty hunter, we think, and Mila Kunis is a downtrodden janitor who doesn’t realize she’s actually an intergalactic princess. Lana and Andy Wachowski’s latest looks a bit insane – a lot insane – but how excited are you about all the red carpet shots of Mila’s baby bump? That won’t be monotonous at all.

Begin Again

Mark Ruffalo and his distinctive rugged voice stars as a music producer having a bit of a career meltdown. Keira Knightley is a budding songtress who’s been dumped by her rocker boyfriend, of course he’s played by Adam Levine. These two wandering souls meet in a Manhattan bar where Keira’s character is crooning after the break up. Ruffalo thinks he can make her star but there is one hitch – they haven’t got a studio so they decide to take to the streets of New York. Once director John Carney is behind the camera so expect good music and a large dash of humanity, only with a bigger budget this time.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, James McEvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, time travel or something. We’re not too sure what the trailer implies beyond a 1970s wardrobe and some weird bending in the time-space continuum but we loved X Men: First Class so very much. Any movie that imples the Cuban Missle Crisis was caused by a mutant-version of Kevin Bacon is a history lesson that deserves a thumbs-up.
