Scintillating September

After a summer full of outdoor concerts, plays and festivals, we retreat indoors for even more culture. Artsy types and little culture vultures are going to have a busy September, with three major cultural festivals kicking off this month:

Phelim Drew’s Down and Out in Paris and London

A dark and funny one-man show based on George Orwell’s experiences in Paris and London.

The chanteuse celebrates 20 years in the business of cabaret with favourite songs from Brel to Radiohead.

PERFORMANCE

Harp – A River Cantata

6 September | Samuel Beckett Bridge

A triumphant opening weekend celebration for the Tiger Dublin Fringe, this is a large-scale outdoor performance turning the Samuel Beckett Bridge into Ireland’s largest musical instrument.

Downstairs Dublin Culture Night 2014

19 September | Merrion Square

A series of talks, installations, projections and pop up events curated by the Irish Times in the outside basement spaces in Merrion Square.
