Nicky Hilton’s Wedding Dress Is Spectacular

There’s nothing we love more here at IMAGE.ie than having a good gander at truly gorgeous wedding dresses, and this weekend, heiress Nicky Hilton (sister of Paris) made us all sit up and pay attention as she married her now husband James Rotheschild (who hails from the UK) in a truly beautiful Valentino wedding gown, which reportedly cost over $100,000 to make. We posted a shot of it yesterday, but now we have a few more so you can see the dress in detail.

We’re not surprised at the price tag, the lace gown and sweeping veil is breathtakingly elegant and if we might say so, Nicky is definitely channeling her inner Kate Middleton here. The newlyweds married in London yesterday in a lavish ceremony in Kensington Palace attended by 250 guests, including Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky and Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece. Nicky’s sister Paris (who is the spitting image of her) carried out the maid honour duties on the day. Nicky’s hair and makeup were kept perfectly understated, as she let the intricate gown do all the talking.

It was a star-studded affair to be sure as it was rumoured that singer Lionel Richie crooned a tune or two during the reception. The guests were treated to what was a two-day affair, but it was definitely Nicky who stole the show on the day – she looked just beautiful.

There was a slightly hairy moment when her dress and veil got caught under a car as she walked in the gown, but as a consolation, it got stuck under a Bentley, according to the Daily Mail, which wasn’t that bad.

What do you think of her dress? We think it’s the loveliest one we’ve seen in a long time.

Sister Paris posted some gorgeous snaps via her Instagram too:
