Listen, we’re in an era when blondes are breaking the mould. Taylor Swift is killing it in the charts, knocking herself off number one spots while having the best Instagram game in the business. Hillary Clinton is already campaigning to the be the first women in the White House. And Miss Piggy is the first puppet to receive a prestigious award for pioneering women.

The Muppets leading lady is set to be honoured at the Brooklyn Museum’s Sackler Center First Awards for her outstanding contribution to society, the AP reports. As The Good Wife viewers are well aware, if a company can be declared a person in the highest court of the American land, why not a puppet at a New York awards ceremony.

Previous recipients of the Sackler Award have included Toni Morrison and former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. That’s pretty exalted company for a pig, but as the award’s namesake Elizabeth Sacker says, Miss Piggy embodies the “spirit, determination and grit” that the honour represents.

The ceremony takes place on June 4th, and Gloria Steinem will interview Miss Piggy that evening. Who Miss Piggy will be wearing has not been confirmed at the time of going to press. Her feelings on the award, however, are loud and clear. ?Moi is thrilled,? she declared.
