Jennie McGinn’s Wish List

24th Dec 2013

1. When I’m feeling more frivolous than business, this Sorcha O?Raghallaigh gold pendant would look beautiful perched on top of the white shirt. It’s regal, it’s statement and it’s gold – an absolute winner for me.

2. This holographic clutch from?Milly is top of the Christmas wishlist. It’s shiny, relatively impractical and screams ?fashion?, but I just have to have it. I believe Arnotts are due to stock Milly in the New Year so I may have to hold out, but good things come to those who wait.

3. Much of my style is frivolous, colourful and edgy. However, I am a business woman, and at times should dress as such. A white shirt is the pinnacle of sharp dressing and Irish designer Zoe Carol Wong has just the number. Zoe specialises in neat tailoring and feminine power dressing and her Amalia shirt makes me feel more business just by looking at it.

4. Carol Mahon is an Irish illustrator that we worked with on Prowlster and this ?Oh Dear? piece is the sweetest design I’ve seen in ages. It would go perfectly as an accompaniment to my new wardrobe.

5.Working in fashion, yes I have a surplus of clothes, and alongside nudging my poor-suffering boyfriend out of our shared wardrobe, I feel another wardrobe (entirely for myself) is justifiable. This upcycled set of lockers from?Industry Dublin is right up my street.

6.I’ve been fantasising about the interiors of my dream home and spending entire weekends hunting furniture in Berlin and Prague. In the interim, I’d settle for a workshop on sprucing up my existing furniture and Rua Boutique on Capel Street offers workshops in chalk painting. I’ll be an interiors ninja before you know it.?Chalk Workshop.
