It’s back! Star-guests set for new season of Late Late Show this week

You just know autumn is here when it’s time for a fresh season of The Late Late Show. Kicking off the 58th series, there’ll be plenty of shenanigans and perhaps a little controversy if this week’s guest line-up is anything to go by…

Love Island star (and to many, the real winner), Longford’s own Maura Higgins, will be telling Ryan about life after the islander antics and her newfound fame following her stint on the show. Credited with saving the series this year, she’ll discuss her future plans and naturally, her ongoing romance with Curtis Pritchard. And it’ll be a truly Irish affair as this year’s winners – Limerick’s Greg O’Shea and his partner Amber Gill – will also join our host to discuss their time on the show.

Next up, legendary singer and Late Late Show favourite of Sinéad O’Connor will perform two songs, including Pogues’ hit Rainy Night in Soho and another special number – you’ll have to watch the show to hear what it is though! She will also talk to Ryan about her upcoming Irish tour dates and her recent return to music.

Talented writer and comedian Aisling Bea will also sit on the infamous couch. She’ll have plenty to talk about, currently starring in her own comedy series on Channel 4, This Way Up, which she has also written and co-produced. Did you know she has a fondness for Love Island? She’s likely as happy with the line-up as we are! She’ll also speak about her trailblazing mother (who was a jockey), and why determination is the key to success.

After the first episode of his new RTÉ One series The Keith Barry Experience aired this week, magician Keith Barry will be in studio and messing with the minds the guests, and presumably Mr Tubridy himself – you know this will be an unmissable segment.

There will also be a very special tribute to the members of the Frontline Emergency Security Services who serve the citizens of Ireland on a daily basis, as well as Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, who will perform and talk of his journey to music stardom and performing at Glastonbury this summer, as well as a certain spat with Noel Gallagher.

It will certainly be entertaining Friday telly, at the very least!

The new series of The Late Late Show airs this Friday, September 6 at 9.35pm on RTÉ One
