Sending and receiving Christmas cards is one of our favourite seasonal traditions, so here are some Irish-made designs that will bring a smile to anyone’s face.
Who doesn’t love getting a Christmas card in the post? Literally no-one. After the initial excitement of wondering who sent it and reading the message inside, you then have a ready-made decoration to add a festive touch to your home. Whether you go for the classic mantlepiece display or hang them with string, Christmas cards will always make a space feel special.
This year, we’re planning to buy some cards from Irish designers and illustrators. As well as supporting local creatives, it’s also much more sustainable than buying cards that have been mass-produced and shipped from abroad. Here are a few of the designs we’ll be popping in the post…

A beautiful card that your recipient will definitely want to keep, these three nativity designs are laser-cut with stars to reveal the white lining of the card. This card is 100% cotton, made from recovered cotton fibres, and the envelope is 100% recycled, so you can send it knowing it’s making minimal environmental impact.
