Instagrammers can’t get enough of vases, so we rounded up our favourites

Have you noticed? Irreverent and quirky vases have become fashion bloggers’ must-have accessory

A recent New York Magazine article bemoaning the, quote unquote, Millennial Aesthetic went viral for succinctly summing up the generation’s seemingly unending obsession with fiddle-leaf figs, “Good Vibes Only” neon signs and, ahem, boob motifs on cushions and shower curtains.

While we can’t deny the prevalence of the female form in decor and accent pieces, it seems that vases of all shapes and sizes have become the statement piece on every influencers’ Instagram feed as of late.

Perhaps the woman fueling the obsession is London-based, French-Algerian designer Anissa Kermiche, whose distinctive Love Handles and Jugs Jugs have been popping up in the homes of the platform’s most stylish over the last couple of years.

But beyond Kermiche’s instantly-recognisable, Insta-friendly (but certainly not cheap) ceramics, it seems that giving viewers a glimpse into their home setup has become the norm for influencers, and with that comes the onslaught of vase inspiration that we didn’t know we craved.

Indeed, first came the mirror outfit shot where the ornate frame was the star of the show, but now all eyes are on vases with plumes, pampas grass, branches and florals in these artfully-arranged shots.

While mimicking some outfits that we see on the daily can be out of the question, adding a quirky new ceramic piece to your home can cost next-to-nothing if you look for vintage and second-hand offerings (right now is as good a time as any to support local and small business owners online!)
