Escape to Atmospheric Castle Leslie Estate

Escape to Atmospheric Castle Leslie Estate

It’s one of the most luxurious and iconic hotels in the world, and now, incredibly, Castle Leslie Estate is celebrating 25 years at the forefront of Irish hospitality. Long famed for its stunning parkland setting, lavish interiors and generous service, Castle Leslie Estate has an incredible atmosphere all its own. On a cold autumn or winter’s day, fires roar in the main halls and the lawns glisten with frost while guests gorge on high tea overlooking the garden or cosy up in the panelled bar for a hot whiskey. At Christmas, the decorations are truly breath-taking- it seems no square inch of the estate is left unadorned. Inside, opulent swags of fragrant fresh foliage curl around every bannister and candles flicker throughout.

History permeates absolutely every corner of Castle Leslie Estate, which has been lovingly restored and extended over the years to include elegant self-catering homes as well as accommodation in the boutique-style Lodge and stately Castle proper. The stunning Old Stable Mews conversions have two bedrooms while the Village Cottages have four and five bedroom configurations, all within shouting distance of the hotel’s amenities.

While it’s tempting to set up permanent camp in the luxurious spa, every corner of the estate is worth exploring, too- and not just on foot or on horseback (the world-class equestrian centre is well-versed in organising ride-outs for all levels of rider). Staff can also arrange kayaking, fishing, shooting and hot air ballooning. You get the feeling they could in fact arrange any activity on earth without the slightest bother.

There’s no better time to experience all Castle Leslie Estate has to offer, with a number of really attractive packages on offer. Whether you’re looking for a Girls’ Getaway, a Romantic Break or a Relaxing Babymoon (or all three), they offer outstanding value. Our favourites?

Autumn/Winter overnight packages (from just €110 per person sharing) include one night accommodation, a hearty Irish breakfast and dinner in the award-winning Snaffles Restaurant. The perfect taster!

Girls’ Getaway Packages (from €300 per person) include two nights of luxury in a fabulous 2 bed Old Stable Mews or 4/5 bed Village Cottage to share with your besties.  Once you’ve all settled in, take a peek inside your kitchen, which is stocked full of treats and breakfast goodies and enough wine to get your party started. And that’s not all… there’s pop corn, snacks and a variety of classic movies, too. Supper is a gourmet pizza feast delivered to your door on the first night and a 4 course dinner in the 2 AA Rosette award-winning Snaffles Restaurant in The Lodge on night two.  Everyone also gets a half hour treatment session (choose from a Back Massage, Indian Head Massage or a Facial) in the Victorian Treatment Rooms, use of the outdoor hot tub and a complimentary hand & arm massage. Finally, on the day of your departure, enjoy a 2 course Lunch in Conor’s Bar.
