Go backstage at IMAGE Magazine’s stunning spring beauty shoot.
Fed up with winter and craving some spring inspiration, Team IMAGE looked to the work of noted botanical illustrator Wendy Walsh. Having visited her home in?Athy, Co Kildare a few years ago for a shoot of a very different kind (featuring?her grandson, James Fennell, a noted photographer in his own right?jamesfennell.com), we were beguiled with the artist and her incredible work.
Marrying Wendy’s exceptional talents with that of Yves Saint Laurent’s European’make-up artist Fred Letailleur made for an inspired match. The delicate detail in’the botanical illustrations gave Fred the ultimate starting point on which to build?our beautiful, yet bold looks using YSL’s spring palettes. The result is?breathtakingly beautiful, yet utterly wearable make-up that transcends the’seasons, making us feel like sunnier days are right around the corner. Best bit of?all? There’s no need to fear purple eyeshadow ever again!
