The Sequins Edit: How to shine this festive season

Dressing like a disco ball has never been easier.

Festival season and Christmas; those are the two times of the year when sequins take centre stage. That’s not to say that you can’t wear them on other occasions, but now is really their time to shine (literally and metaphorically speaking).

A party favourite for a reason, sequins have proven to be more than just a passing trend and the same styles roll around each year; think fitted pencil skirts, oversized blazers with exaggerated shoulder pads, glitzy minidresses and all-in-one jumpsuits… the brighter and more sparkly, the better.

For the more cautious amongst us, start small; incorporate a nice top with sequin detailing into your wardrobe and pair with your favourite jeans for comfort. If you’re feeling braver, a matching sequin suit is the definition of high-octane glamour. The good news is, anything goes style-wise – ‘tis the season to throw out the ‘less is more’ mentality and let your inner magpie fly free.

We rounded up some of our favourite sequined fancies for your viewing pleasure below.
