Sporty turns chic.
‘Sports-luxe’ and ‘athleisure‘ are two of the more contemporary buzz words you’ve probably heard of that have completely saturated the fashion market today. Ever since the conception of streetwear culture way back in the 80’s, the idea of taking what you wear on the court, the pitch or at the gym and walking it right out into the street or even to a nightclub has evolved with immense acceleration.
The past few years have seen the insatiable consumer demand for tracksuit sets, the creation of the ‘sneaker stock market’ and yoga pants losing the taboo behind their name and instead becoming a wardrobe staple.
The newest craze in the world of ‘sports-luxe’ and ‘athleisure is preppy, formal and – in our humble opinion – the most adorable phase in this revolution so far. Golf, tennis and equestrian attire are just some of the areas of ‘sophisticated sports attire’ that have finally been given their moment to walk into the spotlight (or streetlight, if you will) and we can not get enough.
