I’m not a big print person, but even I’m drawn to ditsy daisy-print dresses and botanical motifs at this time of year. There’s something invigorating and uplifting about them (the phrase fresh as a daisy doesn’t come from nowhere…). So this season I’m committing to buying a floral-print dress; admittedly I’ll probably wear it over denim to avoid feeling like someone other than myself. But whether you’re a floral fanatic or a toe-dipper like me, a bit of clever styling means you can wear almost any one of these floral dresses.
I don’t have the legs, height or feathery skin tone of the beauty below, but with a bit of layering I might be able to make this piece work. Either way, everyone should snap up this gorgeous piece, as it’s now reduced to just €10 on the Warehouse website. This dress looks just like an English country garden. It’s so pretty.

Now, this is more my kind of style; long and drapey with a depth to the colour that will work well against my complexion. I would happily wear this as is, but I think it would also look fabulous worn over palazzo pants.

This Topshop dress is the ultimate mood-booster. I love the fluidity of the silhouette and the punchy yellow print is perfectly playful for spring through to summer.

Modernists will like the graphic print of this Massimo Dutti dress. Florals don’t have to be cute, they can be contemporary too. This print looks like it’s been handpainted; this is a beautiful piece that could be layered over a polo-neck and opaque tights in winter.

This gorgeous dress from River Island is very like a Vanessa Seward design from her SS18 collection. It would be difficult not to feel beautiful in this exotic-looking cold shoulder creation.
