Days In Denim With Louise Cooney At Brown Thomas

19th Sep 2017

Digital director of Image Publications Ellie Balfe and influencer Louise Cooney will host a denim masterclass in Brown Thomas Limerick on Saturday, 30th?September at 1pm.

Ahead of Louise’s appearance in store, the model and blogger talks about her denim inspirations and tips for choosing the perfect pair.

My earliest denim memory is of a light wash, bell-bottom pair that I cut the ends off to give them an extra flare. I ended up wearing them to death. For a flattering fit and great quality, my first choice is Salsa’s mid-rise skinny fit jeans in dark denim.
My ultimate styling tip is to match a pair of well-fitted, simple denim jeans with an interesting top – a floral blouse, a stylish blazer or a chunky knit keeps your look simple but exciting.

For inspiration, I look to Victoria Beckham. I think we all recognise her for her well-fitted jeans, but she can also pull off any style of denim. She’s not afraid to take risks and always manages to look super-chic.
When buying denim, I always say you should pick a pair of jeans that make you feel great and that fit perfectly. You don’t need to settle for a style you’re not 100 percent happy with – you’ll never wear anything more than a comfy, stylish pair of well-fitted jeans.
This workshop forms part of Brown Thomas? 16-day celebration of all things denim. To guarantee you find your perfect fit, the Brown Thomas team of expert fitters will be on hand, sharing their tips to ensure you find the most flattering silhouette for your shape. They’ll also offer expert advice on how to style your denim from head to toe.
Housing the largest denim bar in Ireland, Brown Thomas stock a massive 16,255 pairs across 250 styles and 11 must have brands, the options are endless – so whether you prefer a straight leg with a frayed hem; a flare with a 70s influence; or a super skinny style in a high-rise fit, there is bound to be something for you.
