Celebrities aren’t all other-worldly creatures who are far removed from reality. Some recognise that simply by reaching out, sending a tweet or even signing an autograph, that they have lifted a person’s mood or made dreams come true. Taylor Swift is a prime example. She’s done countless good deeds for her fans; inspired them when they felt no one else understood and literally changed their lives. Her actions are genuine, kind and generous, and they make us admire her all the more.

Jane The Virgin actress Gina Rodriguez is making headlines tonight for doing a similar good deed. And it’s pretty wonderful. Many of us sit through red carpet season with wails of “I’d kill to wear that Golden Globes?gown for a night!” and thanks to the 31-year-old’star, this will actually?happen for a young fan, thanks to?Rodriguez offering to give her the 2015 gown she wore to last year’s Golden Globes?- a black fitted strapless fishtail cut, designed by Badgley Mischka – to wear to her prom.

Rodriguez revealed that she didn’t get to keep her beautiful 2016 Zac Posen creation so couldn’t offer it up, but we imagine the fan, eighteen-year-old Jessica Casanova, doesn’t feel too hard done by.

The cute exchange all went down on Twitter and various reports confirm that the deal has been done, how great is that?

Do you think Keira Knightley would lend out the emerald-green Atonement gown if we asked nicely? We can dream…

Earlier this week, the award-winning actress was also praised for calling for greater support and equality among fellow Latino actors, and raising awareness via social media.
