The holiday season is gaining on us, which means it’s time to ditch the decade-old bathing suit for a new, updated look. I spent some time researching the best kinds of swimwear for every body type recently and the one thing that jumped out at me was how much the price of swimwear can vary. You can find beautiful embellished, plunge-neck and high-leg suits for a cool few hundred euro, or one-wear-type suits for under €20 that will fall apart after a single swim.

There is a happy medium, though. Sometimes, all you need is a no-frills suit that supports you in the right places and makes you feel confident enough to get outside in the sun. Here are 10 great one-pieces – all under €50 – that are too good to pass. And when you do find your perfect suit,  you have to try it out in some of the most extraordinary pools in the world (trust us).

While you’re here, have you listened to our new podcast The Spill?

This week’s episode kicks off with an examination of Janelle Monaé’s PYNK, which features her and her fellow dancers in opulent pink vagina trousers. Sophie and Rhona go on to discuss if people are treated differently because of their level of beauty and finish by helping a reader who can’t stop fantasising about women.
