As we say goodbye to London Fashion Week, we’re reflecting on our favourite beauty looks from the AW19 shows.
At Erdem, Val Garland paired a velvety graphic eyeliner with Anthony Turner’s modern beehive for a look Val Garland called “Royal meets The Vatican – inspired by Fellini and Hitchcock.”
Riccardo Tisci’s youthquake street wear collection for Burberry was a stark dichotomy of the 1920’s flapper kiss curls designed by Guido Palau and shining skin by Pat McGrath.
At Halpern, Sam McKnight’s pre-Raphaelite hair was worn with gold leaf eyes by Isamaya Ffrench.
At Ryan Lo, Sam McKnight created romantic, 1950’s waves, paired with neon lips by Pablo Rodriguez.
Hair dressing was the order of the day at Ashley Williams, and as usual, when it comes to styling the hair with accessories the Ashley Williams way, more is more.
At Preen, Sam Bryant created gym skin with 90’s era nude tones. According to Sam, “she’s a 90’s girl whose been out all night dancing and has that sweaty sheen.”
At Fashion East, we fell in love with the most unwearable of nail art – pearl raindrop perfection by nail artist Lauren Michelle Pires.
At JW Anderson, Anthony Turner made the case for ditching your dry shampoo in favour of what he calls, “a conceptual wet look helmet.”
And finally, our own Simone Rocha’s take on pretty-meets-modern fullskirts and dark lipsticks made us want to ditch the spring pinks and go back to winter berry tones.
