A definitive roundup of Rihanna’s finest pregnancy fashion moments

Ever since the singer, entrepreneur and designer debuted her baby bump at the start of the year, Rihanna has been revolutionising maternity fashion.

Traditionally, when we picture maternity wear, images of long flowing dresses and shapeless nightgowns instantly spring to mind. Meant to disguise the appearance of a protruding baby bump, these items of clothing put comfort first regardless of aesthetic preferences.

Let’s be real though, did any of us expect veteran fashion icon Rihanna to be browsing through the maternity aisle? As soon as the Fenty founder stepped out on the streets of NYC, hand-in-hand with her partner A$AP Rocky, we knew she would shake things up.

Baggy jeans, belly chains and a hot pink puffa (vintage Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld, of course), Rihanna was never going to let growing a tiny human inside her stop her from turning out look after look.

“I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy. If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby,” Rihanna told People back in February. “Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, ‘Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day.’ But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform. You put some clothes on, and it’s like, when you look good, you feel good. I’ve heard that for a very long time, but it’s true. It really can get you up off that couch and make you feel like a bad bitch.”

With the surprise release of A$AP Rocky’s latest music video for D.M.B sparking speculation (the internet does love to do that) that the pair are already hitched, we thought it only fitting that we take a look back at some of Rihanna’s most show-stopping pregnancy looks.

The question remains, did A$AP propose with a ‘MARRY ME’ grill?

Here are just some of Queen Rih’s pregnancy looks that always steal the show, whether she’s hitting the shops or sitting front row at fashion week.
