Want to paint Dublin town red this Christmas but craving something fresh? These are six new openings that deserve a visit.
Nothing says “it’s Christmas” quite like a few well-earned nights on the town in Dublin.
During the festive period, Dublin sparkles like no other, and while we always have our favourite haunts to frequent, there’s nothing quite as exciting as discovering somewhere new.
And Dublin’s newest openings have landed just in time to shake up your festive plans. There is a growing list of new bars, restaurants, and late-night hangouts that bring new energy to the nightlife scene.
Whether you’re organising the annual work do, rounding up friends for a long-overdue catch-up, or simply looking for somewhere new to toast the most wonderful time of the year, these recently opened venues have you covered.
So, consider this your festive nudge: it’s time to swap the usual haunts for something shiny, new and definitely fun.
Díon
Boasting the best sunset views in the city, Díon is set atop the former Central Bank of Ireland. The building’s bold 1970s lines have inspired Díon’s interiors, where warm tones and sculptural details are set against the panoramic backdrop. Influenced by some of the world’s most celebrated dining experiences, the restaurant presents a confident take on Irish cuisine, shaped around the country’s finest produce and elevated with international flair. Expect great plates, fantastic drinks and incredible views of Dublin’s fair city.

Gloria Osteria
Dublin’s restaurant scene has gained a striking new arrival with the opening of Gloria Osteria, an exuberant Italian restaurant that brings the glamour of 1970s Milan to the heart of Westmoreland Street. Big Mamma Group opened its first location in Milan two years ago, followed by Barcelona, and now Gloria has arrived in Dublin, housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century former bank.
Expect all the best of Italian cuisine, alongside dramatic interiors featuring soaring three-metre arches, a ten-metre Rosso Levanto marble bar topped with over 700 vintage bottles, and cosy scarlet-red booths perfect for intimate dining. It’s a place designed for both celebration and indulgence – exactly what this time of year calls for.

The Ivy Asia
Since opening on Dawson Street in 2018, The Ivy has become synonymous with luxury dining and Instagram-worthy moments. Now, its sister restaurant, The Ivy Asia, has arrived, bringing a vibrant menu of pan-Asian dishes, vegan and vegetarian delights, and artfully crafted cocktails.
This is the brand’s first international location outside the UK, and it’s just as fun and frivolous as its predecessors. Expect expertly designed, dramatic interiors, brilliant entertainment, and a menu packed with sushi and sashimi alongside flavourful small plates.

Daata
Pakistani favourite Daata has opened its sixth location on George’s Street in Dublin city centre, marking the brand’s biggest move yet. What began as a small takeaway in Bray back in 1999 has grown into a thriving group, with five restaurants already delighting diners across south Dublin and north Wicklow.
The new George’s Street location takes over the former Brasserie Sixty6 space, bringing Daata’s bold, flavour-packed menu to the heart of the city. Known for its generous portions, rich spices, and welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant continues to celebrate Pakistani cuisine with a modern twist.

The Hoxton
The Hoxton has finally said ‘hello’ to Dublin, nestled behind a 19th-century façade on Exchequer Street. Blending Victorian charm with the signature Hoxton style across 129 rooms, expect luxurious textures, layered details, and nods to Ireland’s natural beauty. However, it’s the social heart of the hotel where it really comes alive. The iconic Library Bar exudes glamour, while The Lobby is the only spot to enjoy morning coffee or late-night catch-ups. Dining is equally dynamic, with Cantina Valentina bringing bold Peruvian flavours, and Dollars offering New York deli charm with local produce and natural wines.

Chez Spice at Kaldero
Finally, finish off your Christmas night out with a dance at Chez Spice at Kaldero, a brand-new basement club located on South King Street. A well-needed addition to the city’s night scene, it promises a no-door-charge, vinyl-only, music-first experience. An award-winning restaurant by day and early evening, Kaldero transforms every Friday and Saturday night by 10pm when the lights dim, the tables disappear, and the space is alive with music and energy.
