With a cushion that turns into a wearable quilt, as well as prints that feel like a breath of fresh air, there’s plenty of fun new additions in this collection.

Summery interiors products are starting to hit stores and it’s definitely making us want to change things up in our homes.

As well as containing great ideas for enjoying the outdoors, Ikea’s April collection also is full of bright, fresh prints and designs, whether you fancy freshening up your bedroom, are or more interested in a dining-room revamp.

It will arrive in Ikea stores through April, so keep an eye out for your favourites.

Picnic planning

Any hint of sun is going to see us all heading outside after a winter cooped up indoors, and whether you’re planning a picnic in the park or a day at the beach, Ikea have got us covered with the Fjällmot picnic blanket, €20,  which rolls up into a handle when not in use.

For those that can get chilly as evening draws in, the Fältmal cushion quilt, €25, is a cushion that can be unzipped to form a wearable duvet. It may not be stylish, but I bet it’s warm.

Fresh sheets

If your bedroom is feeling a little tired, then you can inject a little brightness into it with the new sheets that are part of this range. The Bäralm quilt cover and pillowcase, €15, are inspired by the classic stripes found on beach parasols and sunbeds, and will bring a coastal vibe into your space.

Lighting is also a great way to refresh a room, and the Trubbnate pendant was inspired by a lamp created by Danish designer Erik Østerby that first appeared in Ikea stores in the 1970s, and was revived for this new collection.

Dining delights

If you want to make dinner at home feel a little more special, then there are also some options to help you rejuvenate your kitchen and dining space. The Voxlöv chair, €80, has a beautiful woven design that allows light to pass through, while its pale wood helps a space feel bright.

A simple arrangement of flowers or foliage is a great way to make your table feel in tune with the changing seasons, and at just €1, the Pådrag vase is perfect for displaying your favourite blooms.

Living room updates

It seems we’re always looking for more storage, and the Borgeby coffee table, €80, cleverly incorporates a tray for frequently-used items, in what would otherwise be an unused space.

If you want to inject some colour, the Tvingstrup rug, €129, and Hildamaria cushion cover, €4, are a quick and easy way to do so.
