Schweppes unveiled its new premium range of mixers, 1783, at a sparkling launch party in Dublin Bar Academy on Tuesday evening, 28th November. Cocktail king, Tony Conigliaro, who has been a pioneer of Michelin star standard mixology with his Drink Factory in London, flew into Dublin for the event. Tony talked guests through the art and alchemy of cocktail design and created a bespoke 1783 Sparkling Rose cocktail for the occasion, which guests were invited to try mixing themselves at the bar.
The 1783 range features five new naturally flavoured mixers, expertly crafted by world-class mixologists for both white and dark spirits. Each new flavour was served on the night in creative cocktails including the 1783 G&T, Cucumber Spritz, Spagliato, Pineapple Tickler and Ginger Snap, with complementary 1783 flavour inspired bites like gin-cured organic salmon, chocolate spiced chilli beef and Sicilian lemon tart. On arrival, guests were greeted with a 1783 Crisp G&T, and invited to add their own fresh garnishes of edible flowers, grapefruit, berries and more from the Schweppes garnish wall. Guests were entertained by DJ and model January Russell Winters on the decks and posed at the bubbling balloon gif station.
Model, Thalia Heffernan, was in attendance with her Dancing with the Stars boyfriend, Ryan McShane, while social media star, James Patrice, fresh from his Operation Transformation success, came along to taste the new flavours. Bloggers Sarah Hanrahan, Niamh O’Sullivan and Kate Kelly were also joined by model, Kelly Horrigan and her photographer friend, Aaron Hurley. Petre Sandru, Country Manager of Coca-Cola Ireland, welcomed guests on the night and introduced the new range.
Schweppes 1783 combines the renowned effervescence and balanced taste of Schweppes with all-natural ingredients – as well as brand new, unique flavours, designed to be paired with the finest white and dark spirits. Inspired by the alchemy of pioneering Jacob Schweppe, who created the first carbonated tonic water in the year 1783, the range has been developed in partnership with some of the world’s best mixologists.
Schweppes 1783 is available now in 200ml glass bottles from premium bars and restaurants nationwide.
