A smartphone isn’t everything… but it’s everything else. And whether we like to admit it or not, this little piece of tech is becoming the essential accessory in our lives. Samsung has the solutions.

As time evolves, so does smartphone technology. And while it’s all well and good to scroll down through social media, ping messages and trawl through the best retail apps, handsets continue to evolve, offering functions that make life sweet.

With their S-series smartphones, Samsung disrupts the tech world on a continual basis. They introduced curved screens, infinity screens, wireless charging, water-resistant casing, dual-screen options and phone cameras the quality of which simply has to be seen (and compared) to believe.

With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, another new era of intuitive technology was born: the latest Note handset is for people who dream big and want to have it all. The Galaxy Note 8 includes all the luxe Samsung design signatures as standard; infinity screen, multi-window operation, always-on display, dust- and water-resistant and a powerful dual camera; there’s also the enhanced S Pen, to make writing, drawing and interacting on the 6.3-inch screen second nature. You can even illustrate or animated GIFs and share them across platforms. The S pen becomes an extension of your hand… from brain to smartphone in a flash. So whether it’s tapping an app, writing a list or designing something beautiful, as our make-up artists Lyndsey Cavanagh, Tara Anderson, Judy Wong and Eilis Downey, above, have done, when they put the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to professional use.

Samsung set the standard for smartphone cameras, and with the Galaxy Note 8, they’re delivering their most powerful smartphone camera yet. The Galaxy Note 8 is the first smartphone with two 12MP rear cameras with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) on both the wide-angle and telephoto lenses. Put simply, it puts everything from selfies to sweeping scenes into a whole new stratosphere. And in Dual Capture mode, both rear cameras can take two pictures simultaneously and allow you to save both images; one close-up shot from the telephoto lens and one wide-angle shot that shows the entire background. Smart. Phone.
