2. Wood and leather suspended shelf
For a luxe style update, why not try strips of leather to rest your shelf upon??Simple but very effective. We love this wood and leather suspended shelf by Claire Zinnecker for Camille Styles blog, adding a pop of gold along the rim give a finished look and glam feel. Upcycling options are endless, with old belts and reconditioned wooden furniture all worthy alternatives.

3. Scandinavian-style shelving
If you’re feeling more ambitious, why not try a DIY shelving unit? This Scandi-inspired piece is just the job to show off any diningware or collectables you have to hand. We love the combination of light wood and clean white, but don’t be afraid to experiment with colour to mix and match with your surroundings and belongings.
