If you’re a lover of health, fitness, food and wellness, then no doubt you’ll be excited for WellFest this weekend. Taking place in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin on May 11 and 12, WellFest is Europe’s largest outdoor health and wellness festival, and is now the premier weekend for health and fitness lovers all across the country. While many of the attendees are well clued in about their health and fitness routines, lots of budding wellness lovers head to the festival to get much-needed information to kickstart a new lifestyle change.
So, what are the questions you should be asking? And more importantly, who should you be asking them to? With such an overload of information on the internet these days, it can be difficult to know what’s accurate and helpful, and what might be doing your body more harm than good. That’s where WellFest’s WellFood area comes in. As SuperValu’s unique area of the festival, WellFood is designed to help you debunk health and wellness myths, and work out what works for you.
SuperValu are WellFest’s official food partners for the third year running, and they have recruited a stellar panel of experts to help with any questions and concerns you might have about your wellness routine. From good food discussions, to healthy cooking for adults and kids, to eating sustainably, attendees are sure to learn new exciting ways to help them lead a healthy and balanced life.
SuperValu’s very own panel of experts will also be taking on the common myths and misconceptions around health and fitness with special panel discussions on both days of the festival. Today FM presenter Muireann O’Connell will be leading the Q&A sessions with dietitian Aveen Bannon, Ireland and Munster rugby player, Andrew Conway and Pilates and yoga instructor, Annie Kirwan. If you have any burning questions, head to SuperValu’s social media channels to post your questions for the experts.
SuperValu will also have some of their top Food Academy producers on site to showcase and provide some locally produced tasty bites to keep attendees nourished between foodie chats, cookery demos and workout sessions.
