ARC Cancer Support Centre, a cancer charity in Dublin city, has revealed two new projects to raise money in the run-up to Christmas.
The centre, founded in 1994, provides support for cancer patients and those caring for them, by providing education and psychological care that compliments their medical treatment.
This year, in an effort to raise money and awareness for the charity, ARC has partnered with Sphere One, an Irish knitwear design house, to sell a collection of roll mop hats made of baby cashmere. Available in three colours, full proceeds of each sale, including a gift box and postage costs, will go to ARC.
The hats are exclusively available in Emporium Kalu in Naas, Co. Kildare and online at sphereone.ie
As well as this, ARC are organising their annual Christmas lunch – a signature event held every year to raise money for ARC centres in Dublin, to provide support and help for those suffering with cancer and their loved ones. The event will feature a live auction (with the auctioneer being none other than Barry Murphy of Après Match), plenty of brilliant prizes and some very special guest speakers – former President of Ireland Mary McAleese and broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan.
The ARC annual Christmas Lunch will take place in the Intercontinental Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 at 12 midday on Saturday 1st December 2018. Tables of ten or twelve can be purchased here.
