Hotly tipped as the next Alfred Hitchcock (although it should be argued that he is just the first Jordan Peele), Peele’s much anticipated follow-up to Get Out is finally in cinemas from this weekend. Us follows the Wilson family, whose mother Adelaide is plagued by paranoia from her past that something bad is going to happen to her family. When they head for a weekend away with their friends, that paranoia is suddenly not so unfounded. Starring Lupita Nyong’o (who is already being tipped for Oscar buzz for her part), Elisabeth Moss and a brilliant wider cast, the cinema is the only place we want to be tonight. Check for tickets in your local, or head to the Lighthouse for a treat.

The Artfully crafts market is setting up shop in Meath Street, with an absolutely brilliant line-up of Irish designers, illustrators, artists and more. Take the day to have a look around, while enjoying pizza from Coke Lane Pizza and beer from Hopfully. Brilliant way to spend an afternoon.
Now boasting a series of Oscars (including Best Actor for Rami Malek), Golden Globes and glowing reviews, Bohemian Rhapsody has already become one of the stand-out films of 2019 (and it’s only March). Rami Malek is flawless playing the universally-beloved Freddie Mercury, in a film that even struggles to keep up with his acting chops. Despite what you might read on Twitter, Bohemian Rhapsody really is a brilliant watch, and on Sunday, the Sugar Club is screening it for its loyal patrons. Tickets are €12.50, including popcorn.
A celebration of the life (and more importantly, the music) of the Queen of Soul, Miss Aretha Franklin is on our radar for Sunday night. Whelan’s will stage an evening with the I Heart Band, and some of the country’s best singers and musicians to put on a fitting tribute for the Queen. What’s more, all proceeds on the night will go to ARC Cancer Support, so it’s well worth a visit. Tickets are €16.50.
