With an opening date just before Covid hit, Little Pyg bar and restaurant was robbed of any official opening party. Having just poached renowned chef Marco Illi from Italy, Little Pyg held the party of all parties to celebrate their new menu, welcome their new Co-Head Chef Marco, and finally throw that missed launch party, which they aptly nicknamed their ‘late launch’.

Little Pyg, 59 William St S, Dublin 2
Since they never got to enjoy an official launch party when they originally opened their doors, Little Pyg welcomed many celebrity guests and familiar friends for an evening of true luxury. Those gathered enjoyed flowing cocktails that boast the same ingredients and style standard of any 5 star hotel, but at half the price. Ireland’s only Michelin Guide pizzas stole the show however, with the owner Paul McGlade Jnr admitting that one of their pizza secrets is that the dough of each pizza base is left fermenting for 48 hours.
Guests included Irish presenting legend Lorraine Keane, Love Islander Matthew McNabb, Olympian Ellen Keane, Today FM presenter Pamela Joyce, and former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter.
Instagram and TikTok stars from across the country seemed to go to huge lengths (literally) to make this coveted event, including comedy influencer Eric Roberts driving down from Donegal, TikTok star Lauren Whelan making her way from Limerick, and one of Ireland’s most-loved ‘Mummy Influencers’ Julie Haynes travelling up from Cork.
Little Pyg restaurant and bar is open seven days a week, with resident DJs booked every weekend. Food is served every night until 10pm, which will be extended until 11pm throughout the month of December.
