The British are having their hair done; the Americans are eating at restaurants; that will be us in another few weeks. Why aren’t we more excited about it?

The other day, I had a physiotherapy appointment. I lay on one of those examination couches as the physiotherapist pressed her strong fingers into the muscles of my legs. “How does that feel?” she asked, attempting to identify the issue.
