Whether you’re in the mood for a top notch live music festival, want to spend the weekend feasting, or are ready and waiting to lace up your dancing shoes, there’s something for everyone in this weekend guide.

Cork on a Fork Festival

Wednesday 17 – Sunday 21 August, various locations around Cork

A citywide celebration of food and the county’s ever-evolving dining scene, Cork on a Fork consists of five days of unique experiences, food trails, tasting masterclasses, street events, bite-size food talks, cooking demos and free events. With plenty of weekend events making good use of local ingredients, these culinary experiences invite guests to discover the incredible range of local producers and enjoy the buzz of the city’s vibrant new outdoor dining scene.

Féile na Gréine 2022

Friday 19 – Sunday 21 August, various locations around Limerick city

An annual free music and arts trail traversing the streets of Limerick city, Féile na Gréine is a weekend of incredible events curated by local collectives DIY LK & Lower Your Expectations. There’s a number of standout shows in the pipeline, but Denise Chaila Live at King John’s Castle on Saturday truly takes the cake.

Bingo Loco Galway

Saturday, 19 August, Leisureland, Salthill

An event that needs no introduction, Bingo Loco has sold out events in over 200 locations world wide, and the interactive stage show is coming to the West this weekend. With lip sync battles, throwback anthems, dance offs and a whole lot more in store, this is an evening of guaranteed good times.

National Heritage Week

Another Love Story Festival

19-21 August, Killyon Manor, Co. Meath

Though the Friday and Saturday have already sold out, there’s still time to nab some tickets for Sunday’s instalment of Another Love Story. A bespoke festival of music, art, conversation, food and frolics in the charming surrounds of Killyon Manor, Another Love Story fosters a true sense of community.
