You don’t need to ask us twice to jump on a plane, but when we heard the new Beauty Hall at The Loop in Terminal 2, Dublin Airport, had tonnes of exclusive luxury brands to choose from, we were packed and checked-in in record time.

But we all know packing can bring the mood down, especially if you don’t have enough kgs to carry all of your sandals, sunglasses and sun cream.

That’s why the airport has fast become our favourite destination to shop.

Not only is it majorly convenient after the bags are checked in, but there are savings to be made of up to 40% on selected fragrances, and at least 15% on beauty brands.

And there are tonnes of exclusives offers when the new Beauty Hall in Terminal 2, Dublin Airport officially launches on October 25. New luxury brands like Maison Christian Dior and Le Labo have joined all your favourite legacy brands you’re used to seeing at The Loop, like Jo Malone, Clarins, and MAC.

And as if we needed any more excuses to shop there, the stylish Beauty Hall is now double in size after a €10m redevelopment. Among the 90 premium brands on offer, 30 of them are brand new to the beauty destination.

This handy little set is perfect for a weekend getaway when you want to pack light. It includes all your travel essentials: a face serum, eye cream, make-up remover and a mascara for when you’re on the go. We’ll be ordering two; one to bring with us when we depart, and another to collect at the airport upon our return with the convenient Shop & Collect service that allows you to store your items at The Loop until you’re ready to pick them up.

MAC Face Kit: Warm, €54

This is the travel make-up kit dreams are made of. Legacy brands like MAC are still front row at the new Beauty Hall, and still have at least 15% off compared to high-street prices. The brand has really catered for every need with this all-in-one set of warm shades, containing a Boldly Bare lip pencil, Kinda Sexy lipstick, Technakohl eye liner in Graphblack, In Extreme Dimension Lash mascara and two dreamy eye shadows in Honey Lust and Soba. And now you have an additional 30 brands to mix and match your favourite MAC products with.

Clarins Hand & Nail Treatment Cream Duo, €29.90

We adore Clarins products for every inch of our skin, but this luxury item doesn’t always make it into our shopping bag. With at least 15% off beauty at The Loop however, we’ll be stocking up! Possibly the most impressive perfume shelves we’ve ever seen are at the new-look Beauty Hall. Not only can you save up to 40% off selected fragrances, but the variety of luxury fragrances on offer is astounding. This travel size of the cult Armani Sì is perfect for a romantic getaway, and would make a great gift if you can bring yourself to part with it. Don’t forget you can use the Click & Collect option and make your purchase online and collect it from the airport when you depart, or on your return.

Travellers lucky enough to be in T2 at Dublin Airport on Friday can expect in-store offers, gifts with some purchases, as well as live entertainment throughout the day.

And if you’re planning on a large exclusives beauty haul, don’t worry about cramming it all into your carry-on luggage. The Click & Collect and Shop & Collect services are there for this very reason.

– How to Click & Collect for online shopping 

With Click & Collect, you can make your purchase online before arriving at the airport – between three months and 12 hours before your flight departs from Dublin Airport, and 48 hours from Cork Airport.

All you have to do is visit theloop.ie, and fill in where and when you are travelling. Then you make your purchase online.

You have the option to collect your shopping when you catch your departing flight, or upon your return to the airport. All you need is your photo ID, your boarding pass, and your order confirmation (phone confirmation is accepted).
