Costume Jewellery That Makes A Statement

Costume Jewellery That Makes A Statement

I’ve always enjoyed buying costume jewellery. When I was younger I could indulge whatever fashion phase I was going through with a fabulous piece of high-street bling, without worrying about whether or not I could pay my rent the next month. And I still love?to buy it. If you only own one black dress you can reimagine it time and again through the power of?costume jewels, and jeans and a T-shirt suddenly become worthy of a Saturday night out when worn with an ornate choker or oversized earrings. Here are some of the pieces I have my eye on right now.

I love the colours of this statement necklace. They’ll work from spring through to winter. I also like to see florals used in a more graphic, rather than pretty, way so this piece suits my style perfectly.

H&M is one of the best places to find costume jewellery that looks much more expensive than it is. For the price of lunch, you can get hold of something like these fabulous black and gold drop earrings.

Cos has a very contemporary, abstract aesthetic, which I love. The stone inset in this ring adds texture to the brushed metal which makes for a?fabulous piece that will attract any design lover’s eye.

Spanish online retailer Bimba Y Lola is known for it’s quirky, vibrant designs. This neckpiece is fantastic. At first glance, I thought it was made from feathers, but it’s actually created?from leather shards. It’s contemporary without being minimalist.

This rhinestone embellished arm cuff will add punctuation to any look. I’d pair it with a simple black dress and let this fabulous accessory be the focus.
