Taylor Swift Pays Off Fan’s Loan

Impeccable style, amazing songs – there are many reasons to love Taylor Swift, but now the singing star is in the running for a sainthood after it was revealed she helped pay off one of her fan’s college loans. It’s long been known that the 25-year-old and her management team track her fans online and reach out with gifts every now and then, but this latest gesture is one of incredible kindness.

Rebekah caught Swift’s attention last week when she made a fan video of the Friends theme song incorporating Swift and her friends. In response, the singer sent Rebekah a care package of gifts, including a watercolour painting and a cheque for $1989, the name of her album, coincidentally. Swift, or a member of her team, must have noted Rebekah’s posts on her blog relating to the stress her loans had been causing her. What a conscientious and kind act.

Rebekah was incredibly grateful, and we can’t say we blame her for her gushing thank you note/blog post.

I know I’ve said it so many times already but thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Never in a million years did I ever imagine this happening to me, I never imagined you even knowing who I was let alone you taking your time to paint me something and to write me a note. I am so honored and so thankful to call myself a fan, to have supported you all of these years because you are truly the most amazing, genuine, and selfless person. On Thursday when you liked all of those posts of mine I couldn’t contain my excitement and honestly, that was more than I could have ever dreamed of and then you do this?you send me the most thoughtful, meaningful and most amazing gifts I have ever gotten. And they mean even more coming from someone I have admired for so long. I’m so thankful to call you a friend and buddy. You have changed my life in the best way.

I can’t wait to see you on tour and thank you a 1,989 more times.

What a lovely girl. No we’re off to listen to Shake it Off for the rest of the morning because preparation for Taylor Swift’s summer concerts in the Three Arena are an ongoing thing.
