Harry Styles Offered A Lead Role In New Blockbuster

Harry Styles, movie star. Fans the One Direction’singer will be pleased to hear that even though the band are on an infinite hiatus, Styles isn’t planning to stay out of the limelight. The most stylish member of the pop quartet has landed his biggest role to date – a lead in the new Christopher Nolan (Batman, Inception) blockbuster opposite Tom Hardy, no less. ?Sounds mighty impressive.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there was an extensive search to find the film’s young leads, and Styles has’reportedly?been offered?a plum part in Nolan’s?WWII action thriller project Dunkirk. The film?centers on the boys’ involvement in the evacuation of Dunkirk, France, by the British military in 1940.

It all sounds very grown up.

Should he accept the part – and by all indications, he will – Styles would star in an ensemble of up-and-coming actors including Jack Lowden, Aneurin Barnard, and newcomer Fionn Whitehead.

The film also stars some formidable talents, including Nolan regular Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, and recent Oscar-winner Mark Rylance. Since the band disbanded, rumours of his foray into acting have been?rife, and it looks like they were the real deal. Meanwhile, Styles has been busy penning songs.

We just have one major question: will he sing the film’s theme tune?

Brokenhearted Directioners, however, will have to wait until next summer to see the beloved blue-eyed boy-bander and potential Kendall Jenner paramour’make his film debut; Dunkirk is currently set to hit theaters July 21, 2017.
