On Saturday, April 8th, guests were invited to meet beauty and singing sensation Imelda May at Arnotts Style Sessions?in The Beauty Hall in Arnotts.

There was more than a bit of anticipation in the air as Imelda May fans waited for the star to take centre stage at the Saturday edition of the Arnotts Style Sessions. The beautiful and very down-to-earth Imelda – together with IMAGE editor-in-chief Melanie Morris – dissected the beauty queen and singer’s makeup bag to learn all of her?beauty tricks picked up over the course of her career. There was excitement, plenty of bubbles and advice from Imelda’s trusted makeup artist, Lisa to top things off.

The singer – who just celebrated the launch of her new album ‘Life Love Flesh Blood,’ on sale now – went through her makeup bag piece by piece showing fans her must-have products including YSL Touche Eclat and Mac Strobe Cream, and MAC mascara (a favourite brand of many at the style sessions), but confessed that she wouldn’t have the makeup knowledge she does had it not been for her 20+ year long companionship with her makeup artist Lisa Mejuto. The singer then proceeded to invite Lisa on stage to give a helping hand explaining the in’s and out’s of the products.?Imelda is perhaps most recognisable by her?perfectly winged eyeliner, which she takes pride in, and she let the crowd know that she doesn’t allow anyone – not even Lisa – to touch hers. What made Imelda’s makeup collection really stand out was that nearly all of her products had dual usage so that she can go from day-to-night easily and conveniently while on the move.

After the presentation, the floor was opened up to questions which Imelda happily answered, and was even joined on stage by a very excited young fan who charmed everyone, presenting Imelda with a flower.?Afterwards, guests could recreate Imelda’s favourite looks at the beauty counters.
