Kelly and Sean celebrated their marriage at the breathtaking Europe Hotel & Resort in Killarney, a day full of effortless elegance and lots of special moments.
THE COUPLE
Kelly Gallivan, Marketing Specialist, and Sean Finn, Business Analyst, are childhood sweethearts who grew up together in Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
THEY LIVE
in Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
THE VENUE
The ceremony took place at Holy Cross Church, Kenmare, followed by a reception at the breathtaking Europe Hotel & Resort in Killarney. With panoramic views of Lough Leane and a warm, elegant atmosphere, it was the perfect setting. The couple chose it after attending Sean’s brother’s wedding there — they both left that day saying, “If we ever get married, this is it.”
PHOTOGRAPHY
Padraig Healy of Healy Photography , who was calm, professional, and he captured everything from the big emotional moments to the tiny, in-between glances. His photos feel like memories frozen in time.
THEY MET
Kelly and Sean are childhood sweethearts who met growing up in Kenmare. Their relationship evolved through every life stage, including long-distance years while they completed their master’s degrees in London and Dublin.
THE PROPOSAL
Sean proposed at the head of Helen’s Bar in Kilmacalogue, Lauragh — a quiet, meaningful spot for the couple. With only the sea and each other as witnesses, it was private, natural, and true to who they are. They even celebrated their Day Two there!
THE WEDDING ATTIRE
Kelly wore an effortlessly romantic gown from Phoenix V in Cork City, designed by Liza Brennan. She shared the experience with her mom, who also found her mother-of-the-bride dress there. The dress was kept a surprise for the bridesmaids — revealed with a “first look” the morning of the wedding.?Sean wore a classic tailored tux with a satin Lapelle blazer that perfectly matched the elegance of the day from Morleys, Cork City.
The five bridesmaids wore matching oyster Satin gowns from Six Stories.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony took place at Holy Cross Church, where Sean served as an alter boy for eight years. A powerful moment for Kelly was the pause before walking down the aisle — the stillness, the joy, and the feeling that everything had led to that moment.
THE RECEPTION
Held at The Europe Hotel & Resort, the reception radiated joy. The team at the venue made everything feel seamless, and the stunning lakeside setting added a magical calm. The speeches were filled with emotion and humour, and the evening felt deeply personal — especially with one of Sean’s best friends flying home from Australia to MC the night.
THE ENTERTAINMENT
The Connor McKeon Band kept the dance floor full from start to finish, reading the room perfectly and creating a brilliant atmosphere.
THE DECOR
Elegant, timeless, and intimate. The setting itself provided so much beauty — enhanced by thoughtfully chosen florals and soft lighting. All their signage, invitations & wedding stationery was from Pretty Glam Creations.
THEIR TOP TIPS
“Remember why you’re doing this. It’s not about the flowers or the table plans — it’s about your love, and the people who are there to celebrate that with you. If you hold on to that, everything else falls into place.”
THEY WISH THEY HAD
Honestly? Nothing! But in true wedding fashion, someone may have forgotten to collect the bridesmaids for the ceremony… which resulted in some unforgettable (and hilarious) moments and laughter.
THEIR BEST MOMENTS
The quiet moment alone by the lake, with the mountains behind them — a pause to breathe, take it all in, and just be. The powerful energy before walking down the aisle. And of course, the speeches — heartfelt, hilarious, and full of love. Also the fireworks, those were magical.
THE FIRST DANCE SONG
“She’s the One” by Robbie Williams, sung live by Connor McKeon. The song holds special meaning and brings the couple back to the early days of their relationship.
