Chloe Sevigny has nailed maternity style — did we expect anything less?

Chloe Sevigny has nailed maternity style — did we expect anything less?

Chloe Sevigny’s maternity style is something to behold. We break down three of her best looks

Chloe Sevigny is one of the original ‘it’ girls. The ultimate muse, designers flocked to dress the actress over the years.

With a style completely of her own, she radiates the image of effortless chic. Achingly cool yet never too out of reach, her looks are something we all long to emulate.

The actress is currently pregnant and it is no surprise that her style is following the same path it always has. Yet the looks are still comfortable and easy which are important aspects of good maternity dressing. Even her pregnancy announcement looked like something from a Vogue photoshoot, artsy, different and refreshing – just like Sevigny.

Now she is stepping out in looks we could only dream of putting together. From red carpet events to days spent in New York, she shows how easy it is to put your own stamp on maternity fashion.

Maternity chic

In December, Chloe stepped out on the red carpet at the Gotham Awards dressed in a sand Givenchy gown. The taffeta dress with billowing sleeves was right on trend and although pregnant at the time, was still very much her style. As always, she chose accessories which shouldn’t work but do. The white ankle boots and matching bag elevate the look from the usual red-carpet stance.

In January, she emerged in New York City with her boyfriend Sinisa Mackovic, an art gallery director. Wearing a form-fitting coffee-coloured dress with a plaid coat and matching knee-high boots, bag and gloves, this is as good as it gets. She finished the look with round purple-tinted glasses.

Her boyfriend also upped the overall fashion stakes of the photo with his pristine white trench coat, patchwork jeans and Calvin Klein boots.

And finally, her swimwear choice. She has made maternity swimwear look like something which must be embraced, not feared. In an Instagram photo posted yesterday, she posed wearing a purple and yellow patterned bikini accessorised with a straw hat and a dash of pregnancy glow and confidence.

Perfection.
