Penneys autumn drop is all about making staying in the new going out

Penneys autumn drop is all about making staying in the new going out

Why not bring all the fun of restaurants and bare home with you, with the new Penneys autumn collection, full of fun accessories and jewel hues.

“And we all settled in for a long winter’s nap.”

A little early for Christmas poems perhaps, but it pretty aptly describes what we’re all envisioning the closing months of 2020 to be. If you haven’t invested in a snug pair of pyjamas and expensive slippers this year, then I applaud you.

However, the team at Penney’s believe that just because we’re all going to be hanging out at home for a while longer, doesn’t mean it has to be a lethargic food fest. They want to spice up your interiors, from cocktail shakers and candles to cushions and gothic romance bouquets. Here’s a peek of our favourites from the new Penneys Autumn/Winter 2020 collection.

Cosy In

Cushions making for an easy and inexpensive way to change up your living space. You can move them around and they add a quick splash of colour while also upping the comfort factor.

Penney’s new cushion collection comes in a rich palette of jewel-toned velvets. Ruby red, sapphire blue and citrine yellow cushion covers are available from €3.50, while delicately embroidered cushions are available from €12.50.

Dress the table

As daylight hours dwindle, the fresh flowers we’ve been using to bring some nature indoors are in short supply or shipped from half away around the world. Why not opt for seasonal foliage instead, and you can bump up any arrangement with a few tasteful stems of false flowers or leaves.

There is a great selection of false flowers in the new collection, from pampas grasses to roses and green and red eucalyptus with a subtly sparkling finish from €2.50 per stem.

Drink Up

No home this Christmas would be complete with its own cocktail shaker. Whether you’d decided to go full bar cart and test your mixing skills, or for a simple little alcohol nook, this is the season to perfect at least one cocktail.

This kit, €18, comes with everything you’d need for a simple martini or an elaborate and frothy concoction, and its gold finish means you would be happy to leave it on display.

Set the mood

There is nothing like a bit of candlelight to make you feel like staying in. It lights up everyone’s’ faces in pools of warm glow and make a home feel immediately cosy and snug.

As well as a number of deliciously scented candles, Penneys also has a number of candle holders, from a tinted glass tealight holder, €1.50, that splashes a dimpled light around the room, to smoked glass lantern candle holders, €4.50 each, for the table, capable to hold a slim stick or a chunky candle.
