My favourite French vintage shop is having an online sale: here’s what I’ve got my eye on

Delving into great vintage stores is something I’ve really missed over lockdown, but luckily, the best sales have moved online

While we all love a bit of online shopping, the thrill of finding a one-of-a-kind vintage piece is something we’ve definitely missed during lockdown. Charity shops opening back to the public again has meant that our love of great second-hand stock can keep up over the summer.

But one thing we’re still missing is visiting thrift shops on our holidays. Let’s face it; while Ireland does have some great vintage, chic destinations such as France and Italy are always one step ahead. Luckily, these thrifty outlets have embraced online life too, and there are lots of ways to bag great vintage pieces without jetting off.

One of my favourite online vintage shops is the French marketplace Imparfaite, which hosts thousands of pieces from sellers all over France, and ships worldwide. When it comes to great vintage, you’re always going to spend a little more than you would on high street pieces. But you have to remember that you’re paying for quality – these pieces have lasted decades for a reason, and if you are willing to look after them, they’ll last decades more too.

Imparfaite have some fabulous pieces, and today, they launched their annual summer sale, with huge discounts on thousands of their great pieces. My bag is already full of great finds, and I’m sure you’ll find something too.
