Bridal Fashion Week SS18: The Collections You Need To Know

For Bridal Fashion Week 2018, designers embraced a multitude of trends including beautiful?bows loosely tied around the waist and neck, dramatic sleeves that fall past?the wrist, and the most elegant of socks complete with sheer and lace detailing.

Below, discover our picks of the most covetable collections this season.

Carolina Herrera

Olivia Palermo fans will be excited about Herrera’s SS18 collection as it includes a tulle skirt and sequined sweater ensemble,?a look similar to Palermo’s wedding dress, as styled by Herrera. Elsewhere, an ivory blouse and trouser suit combo?is?the perfect choice for an understated bride.

Oscar de la Renta

While Oscar de la Renta also went down the unconventional route with a bridal jumpsuit, the brand kept tradition and femininity at the forefront for SS18 through the incorporation of plenty of tulle and delicate lace. The collection also included a tribute to Sarah Jessica Parker’s 2014 Met Gala look with big skirts heavily donned with the brand’s logo.

Marchesa

Marchesa’s collection spoke to the edgier bride-to-be with touches of black. We love the short, tulle dress complete with black wrap around details, sheer socks and fluffy stilettos.

Vera Wang

Reigning queen of bridal fashion, Vera Wang took a new approach to romanticism and embraced asymmetric detailing and statement sleeves for the new season. Wang wants to push brides in a new direction this time around and we’re all for it.

Christiano Siriano

Inclusive in price (ranging from $3,500 to $17,000) and sizing (going up to size 26) along with an array of beautiful designs, it’s hard not to be impressed by Christiano Siriano’s second bridal collection, full of fairytale ensembles.

Viktor and Rolf

Pristine in both cut and colour, it’s difficult to find fault in Viktor and Rolf’s latest collection. The layering of skirts reminiscent of floral petals and the perfectly cropped sleeves capture a bridal innocence full of youth.
