If you’re heading for the weekend, you’re probably already on the road, but if you’re looking to attend one of the best festivals of the summer, there are still some Sunday tickets for sale here. With some amazing acts including King Kong Company, Wyvern Lingo and plenty of arts and culture chat, we’re already planning our route. Check out our full guide to the festival here .

 

Skerries Midsummer Festival

Friday June 21 – Sunday June 23, from 11am, free

Get yourself out to Skerries this weekend for three fun days as part of Fáilte Ireland’s ‘Dublin, Surprising By Nature’. The festival will consist of paddleboard and kayak testers, swimming races, sailing displays, sand castle competitions, an outdoor cinema and live music. There will also be Ireland’s first east coast Currach Race, in which the currachs must transport a full keg of Guinness around the three islands in Skerries.

You also won’t be stuck for crafts or food as a tented village will hold many vendors, craftspeople and family amusements, as the 10 pubs and 20 restaurants in the area serve up some local favourites.

This weekend we see George Ezra and Lana Del Rey take the stage in Malahide Castle. Although, George Ezra is sold out if you’re craving a good gig in the (hopefully) sunshine there are still Lana Del Rey tickets available on Ticketmaster for €72.37.

 

A Celebration of Summer at The Oak

Tuesday, June 25 at 7pm

Fancy extending the weekend to a tipple on Tuesday? The Oak on Dame Street are staging their own celebration of the season on Tuesday with a multi-sensory wine tasting experience with Campo Viejo, searching the various ways we taste and experience wine in different settings (with plenty of tapas to celebrate too, of course). Tickets are just €20 for a lovely night out.
