The Surprising Paper Pouch We’re Totally In Love With

The Surprising Paper Pouch We’re Totally In Love With

A paper bag unlike any other, the much-hyped?Uashmama bag is now available at Dublin interiors store Dust…?

The romantic tale behind these pouches begins in the picturesque city of Lucca in Tuscany, where four sisters set up a small shop called Le Sorelle (meaning ?The Sisters?) selling their handmade bread bags. These were spotted by an Aussie investor who was?travelling through, and the rest is history. Many of the products are still produced?by a growing number of local craftspeople?in a cottage industry in Lucca.

What is truly surprising is that the paper washes like fabric, is durable and holds its form for daily use. Its looks and feels like leather, as it’s produced in much the same way by stretching and tanning, yet it’s virgin and made from cultivated forests so all ethical and eco worries are covered!

Perfect for storing food, makeup, daily clutter and yes, even your copy of Image Interiors and Living, the?bags can also be used as a plant pot and they’d come in handy for jet setters as they’re?lightweight and store flat.

To find out more about Uashmama follow them on Instagram, or pick up a bag,?from €16.95, at Dust.
