Man Plans Second Wedding For Wife Who Lost Memory

Man Plans Second Wedding For Wife Who Lost Memory

This is our favourite story of today. Remember how we were talking about how we love Rachel McAdams and we equally love her under-rated rom com gem The Vow? Well, in a scene that wouldn’t look out of place in the actual film, a man in the US has decided to plan a second wedding for his wife – who lost her memory in a terrible car crash.

Jeremy Stamper, 21 from Tennessee in the United States wants to plan the perfect second wedding for his wife Justice, who has absolutely no memory of her nuptials last year. Thankfully, Justice didn’t lose her long-term memory, she remembered her husband and all her feelings for him, but had absolutely no recollection of the wedding day itself, which Jeremy said she had been planning since she was little. The pair met when they were just 10 years old. Aw!

He told the New York Daily News that it “tore him apart” to see his wife Justice leaf through photos albums of their big day (which took place in August last year) and watch their wedding video on repeat without recollecting any of it, so he wanted to give her a day she would remember for the second time around.

He set up a special fundraising page to set up wedding number two (he’s still in school and Justice is still recovering from the accident), so that himself and his wife could start their married life again, free from the trauma of the crash. Here he explained what happened: – On August 1st 2014 my beautiful wife and myself got married out at Hungry Mother State Park and it was perfect. We had our wedding, reception, and even honeymooned in the Smokey Mountains. We were at the top of the world, newlyweds and our whole lives head of us. We had big plans until August 20th 2014 just 19 days after the wedding. While I was working, my wife was traveling just down the road to her aunt’s house and to meet me when I got off work when it happened. She was yielding to oncoming traffic to turn left on a side road when she was rear-ended at a dead stop at about 50 MPH plus. The exact speed is not known. She was nearly killed in the impact but she survived. The injuries were endless and she has now finally after maximum medical improvements, she was released from her physical treatments,? he said

Our first wedding was beautiful and perfect, but this time, I want Justice to truly be blown away. She really deserves it

About a month after the accident she finally told me. She said, “I don’t want you to be mad, but I do not remember the wedding.” I was heartbroken and instantly said I would do it all again for her. She has memory loss from about 5 weeks before the wedding, which is when we actually started to plan and put the wedding ideal into motion, and up to the accident. She didn’t even know we were married. She couldn’t believe it. I promised her I would take care of her and now here we are, The Stamper Wedding Round 2,? he added.

?Our first wedding was beautiful and perfect, but this time, I want Justice to truly be blown away. She really deserves it,” he said. We need tissues!

We think this is the most adorable story ever. The goal was to raise around $5,000 and according to the page, the couple has now raised over $7,000 and the happy day is due to go ahead (again) on August 1st this year. If that doesn’t cheer you up/restore your faith in love, we just don’t know what will.
