What to wear to a black tie event (now that they’re back!)

Wondering what to wear to a black tie event? We've got you covered.

Dressing for a black-tie event may ignite a sense of latent panic within you… but it needn’t, it’s far less intimidating than you might think. As Vogue points out, “black tie” for women, best translates as “long” and in an evening-appropriate fabric – though the latter is less important once you factor in that hair, makeup, jewellery and accessories can all glitz an outfit up.

After two years of lazing around the house in loungewear, we’re more than ready to don our glad rags and get back out there and the upcoming IMAGE Business Woman of the Year Awards ceremony is the perfect occasion to do so. Our biggest event of the year, it’s an action-packed evening of women celebrating women and the fashion is always impeccable.

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up a few black tie-worthy gúnas to get you excited for April 20. Shop our edit below and be sure to pick up a ticket for the IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2022 too if you haven’t already!
