The founder of her own eponymous PR company, Hannah Saunders has her finger on the pulse when it comes to all things fashion, beauty and lifestyle. When it comes to her own personal style, neutrals and oversized blazers are key. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.
MONDAY
A comfortable and smart look for a new business meeting today. Meeting a prospective client, I feel it is important to turn up, show my style but not be too OTT so I went with an easy smart-casual look. I am at the stage of pregnancy where I have had to ditch the heels so a stylish pair of trainers is my new BFF. These ones are the Adidas x Bad Bunny trainers, my silk scarf is Dior, both my skirt and blazer are from Zara and I picked up the basket bag in Arket recently.
TUESDAY
This outfit is honestly as comfortable as a tracksuit but is just a more elevated version! Building a work wardrobe around a neutral colour palette ensures no daily tantrums of having nothing to wear. Good neutral staples will always help you feel put together with minimum effort. A knitted skirt is a pregnant woman’s best friend! I love this one from Meshki. My striped pullover is from Zara, my short trench coat is from NA-KD, my sandals are from Massimo Dutti and my bag is by Marc Jacobs.
WEDNESDAY
This polo-style knit dress is a simple and comfortable style that is super bump-friendly. I like the slit detail for added interest. My whole style mantra throughout my pregnancy has been ‘more bumpy, less frumpy’. For me, it feels very dated to feel the need to cover up the bump, both in professional and social environments. I think perhaps women in the workplace feared the opinions of men or the hierarchy if they were seen to be looking “too pregnant” but I am all about embracing the bump – it’s not an accessory, it’s my body and I think it is bloody amazing! Pre-pregnancy, I would have leaned more towards fitted fashion so I didn’t want to lose sight of my style altogether. Knitted dresses are flattering and comfortable and still make you feel nice and glam for brunch with the girls. I love The Frankie Shop for their tailoring – I have about seven of their blazers now and they are the perfect shape and length. I love this lightweight long-line style for late summer. These Dior slides were worth every penny, so comfy and go with everything! My bag is the YSL wallet bag.
THURSDAY
This look is probably my signature work style, fuss-free, smart and easy. I tend to opt for my more structured blazers for client meetings and lunches… maybe the exaggerated shoulders give me added confidence! In my line of work, you can totally style a t-shirt for a professional look as opposed to always needing a collared look/ I do adore an oversized shirt but a shirt-blazer combo is effortless and supremely comfortable. My pre-loved Louis Vuitton bag from Open for Vintage ties the whole outfit together.
FRIDAY
This gives me on-the-go PR girl vibes! This knitted dress is possibly my favourite buy all year. NA-KD is a super retailer – like a Swedish ASOS but better! Everything is well-priced and they have some really unique styles that give me Copenhagen Fashion Week vibes. I like to have fun with fashion every chance I guess, and this dress is a really fun and striking print but still super easy to style. These Massimo Dutti buckle sandals are like slippers so are great for running around town for meetings, and my Arket basket bag is a really comfortable wear, the perfect size for a laptop, my make-up bag and any other essentials. I also love to print clash! This striped trench is another killer piece from NA-KD that works so well with jeans and a white tee too.
For an after-work date, I’ll pop on a pair of heels and ditch the laptop bag for another pre-loved Louis Vuitton from Open for Vintage.
SATURDAY
This summer we have celebrated a lot of love in style! I found this bargain dress from high street brand Stradivarius, and it is a lovely comfortable fit for bump. At this stage of pregnancy, I am not heavily investing in designer dresses so I was delighted to find a high street style I love for this occasion. To bring out the pink tones I teamed it with my mini Azurina bag – a really fun British designer – and old Uterque heels.
SUNDAY
To be fair to Zara, they nail it in terms of bump-friendly button-down dresses. They do this style in multiple prints and colourways. It’s super lightweight, comfortable, so easy to throw on and helps you look and feel put together.
