What To Buy In The Sales: Statement Shoes

What To Buy In The Sales: Statement Shoes

I’m a pragmatist. I tend to spend money on very practical (if no less beautiful) items that I will wear every day. Chelsea Boots, leather handbags and blazers for instance. Once the sales start, I begin to indulge my inner fantasist, however, and search for the kind of gratuitous buys I can’t justify paying full price for. Here are five of the best statement shoes to snap up in the sales.

1. I’ve had my eye on these gorgeous glitter sandals for months. What I love most about them is that they’ll work really well for both day and evening. The contrast between the earthy brown leather strap and the glitter heel works so well.

Glitter sandals, J Crew, €223 (reduced from €445) at net-a-porter.com

2.Mules were the most on-trend shoe of the current season, and these feel very similar in’style to?Gucci’s gold mule. We know fashion is cyclical, so it’s worth picking these up now at this great price.

Gold mules, €19.99 (reduced from €39.95) at Zara

3.As much as I love wearing wedges and block heels, there’s always room for a “lady shoe” in my wardrobe. These have a bit more bite to them with the studded detailing.

Studded leather sandals, €132.50 (reduced from €265) at maje.com

4.This is what I call a statement shoe. I love the architectural heel and the unexpected check print. These modern details coupled with a retro T-bar style makes for a really fashion forward shoe.

T-bar sandal, €196 (reduced from €245) at bimbaylola.com

5.These are a terrific summer sandal, perfect for adding an urban edge to a pretty floral dress. They also come in black, but tan can be easier to work with at this time of year. Gorgeous!

Studded sandals, €53.97 (reduced from €81.55) at office.co.uk
